I had read the book Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter before I went to see the movie cause I always loved reading a book before I see it in motion picture (been doing that since Harry Potter came out lol) and so the book was OMG amazing, I don't think I ever read a book that fast in my whole life. Granted for those who know me well, it sometimes takes me like.... 3 weeks just to read a 100 page book sadly cause 1) I am a slow reader 2) I never liked reading 3) I am VERY picky about the books I read
By god this book was maybe 300+ pages... can't remember but ... like the first day I borrowed it from my friend ~yuukitiny1 I literally read more than half of it. IT WAS THAT GOOD AHHHHH!!!!
I ship Abe and Henry SO HARD now because of that book... granted it's really REALLY weird shipping a vampire with the 16th president... BUT I DUN CARE CAUSE IT'S AN OTP! I SAIL THIS SHIP!
Also Abe was already my favorite president... now he's just my favorite living being to ever exist on this ungrateful little planet.
~yuukitiny1 and I went to see the movie today and I was so shocked about how different the movie was compared to the book, like four of my favorite parts were never shown and they don't even have many of the crucial characters show up in the film (Edger Allen Poe was in the book and was a good friend of Abe's, Abe's first love, Ann, who was killed by a vampire, Abe and Marry's three other boys Robert, Edward, and Tad) The movie was okay, it almost felt like I was watching something very different compared to the book but it won me over cause it had a nice amount of gore and 'ax to the face' moments for me to forgive Timur Bekmambetov....
I still like my Henry more ||DDDD
God I loved this book, I wanna read it again. It restored my faith in vampire's.
While reading this book, for some reason I could not draw the characters in my anime style, like I almost refused to draw them in such so I tried to balance it between anime and cartoon style and thus I got this... I really like this style cause it's a nice balance for me. I may adapt this style for other things.
Totally in love with your Henry <3 I´ve read the book before the movie was even out I was so shocked when I have heard about it xD But the book is much better than the movie I have missed so many of my favourite Moments But now Im totally in the mood to read the book again
OMFG. i love this so much! i love your Henry! I shipped them the moment they met in the book. I still havent seen the movie yet which mean i have to wait till its out on DVD but i saw in an interveiw with Seth Grahame-Smith that he changes a lot when helping write the screenplay because there wasn't a "major climactic scene" or whatever so I'm not holding out too much hope for my favorite scenes either hahaha
but anyway i love your crawing style its awesome and I love your henry and abe. especially the one when Henry used his shirt sleeve to help Abe's cut chin. That was one of my favorite scenes just cuz its full of shippyness.
Yeah the movie is a great disappointment, the way Speed looks is totally different too. :/ made me sadface.
ahhh that makes sense, well even though there wasn't that "Hollywood climax" it was still an amazing book and would have done well with plot alone but meh =A= people want explotions so I guess.
>w< yeeeeeeees that scene made me squee when reading it, but all of the shipping scenes from the book arn't there in the movie at all. Nothing, zip, zero, none. AND WHAT REALLY GOT ME IRKED was Henry took his sunglasses off in the middle of the day >8I and I was like "WHAT THE FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU NO!"
But... they do tell you how Henry survives and drinks blood since they don't say in the book... it was a clever twist and I did enjoy that part.
WHAT? Henry.... took off his shades.... in DAYLIGHT? wow.
No shippy parts? NOOOOOO! That's disapointing. I read somewhere that Abe meets Henry after trying and FAILing to kill the vampire who killed his mom.... lies! haha yeah so they must have changed a lot then.
I do like the idea of knowing how Henry survives and feeds because I had to create a few theories when they didn't mention it in the book so that will be fun to see!
But yeah I'm gonna miss the shippy parts cause I really wanted to see when Ann dies (sorry that sounds bad) because Henry is all comforting and stuff. But if the whole Ann time of Abe's life is just cut out then thats a bummer.
I've found it! God, you're right, It's totally different (and more amazing)from the movie. The beginnig remember me of the Darren Shan's Saga, I think that is love at first sight for me *__*

I must read the book, NOW.
Your stile is sooo cute, i love it!
I really like the characters (historical and not)

Oh, Henry!
